Samsung left employees of the semiconductor division without an annual bonus. And Samsung bonuses are sometimes huge

2023 was a bad year for this Samsung business

Samsung has canceled all bonuses for its semiconductor division employees due to a poor end to the 2023 fiscal year.

Samsung has a tradition of giving year-end bonuses to employees throughout the company as a token of gratitude for a job well done. 2023 clearly wasn't such a good year for Samsung that the company decided to pay bonuses, so employees of the semiconductor division were left without them.

It is reported that in other departments the situation is not so dire, and employees will still receive some bonuses.

Samsung’s bonuses, by the way, are sometimes quite large. For example, employees of the mobile division will receive 46-50% of their annual salary! Employees of the TV production division can expect 39-43%, and employees of the household appliances division will receive 10-12%.
