It stands out for its physical protection and special software
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition children's tablet. Like previous such models, technically this is an ordinary tablet, enclosed in a special case and endowed with unique software for children.
In this case, it is a copy of the Galaxy Tab A9 with an 8.7-inch screen, 4 or 8 GB of RAM, Helio G99 SoC and a 5100 mAh battery.
The package includes accessories for children: a children's protective case, a stylus and a children's sticker.
The Samsung Kids app, pre-installed on the Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition, allows parents to create profiles for each child and personalize their settings. With this feature, parents can set specific screen time limits, restrict access to certain apps, and monitor online activities. For example, they might ensure that their child only spends an hour a day on gaming apps, or block access to social networking sites. The app also features built-in Safe Browsing and a curated app store to help kids surf the web safely with age-appropriate content reviewed by parents and educators. In addition, the Samsung Kids app offers a wide range of engaging content, including educational games and interactive stories, — and all this in a safe environment. Parents can further enhance their child's learning experience by customizing the app's interface and adding apps that match their interests or skills related to thinking, science, and math. They can even personalize the app's background using their child's favorite colors or photos from the gallery.
The new tablet was initially released in Malaysia, where it was priced at $170.
