Sales of new domestic Yandex TVs with voice assistant function are actively growing
Analysts of the «M.Video group – Eldorado» shared interesting statistics – In the first quarter of 2024, an increase in sales of large-diagonal TVs was registered. According to preliminary data, 1,972 thousand televisions were sold on the Russian market in the first quarter.
Compared to the same period last year, the growth in monetary terms was 16.4%. At the same time, sales of large-diagonal televisions in terms of money in the 1st quarter of this year showed a significant increase: +21% in the segment of screens with a diagonal of 55 inches and +51% in the segment of screens with a diagonal of 65 inches. Growth in sales of ultra large TVs – 76 inches and above – amounted to +118%. At the same time, the growth in sales of screens with small and medium diagonals 24-50 inches in money in the 1st quarter of 2024 showed a slight increase to +5%.

At the end of 2023, a record number of TVs were sold in Russia — about 8.5 million pieces. In the 1st quarter of 2024, we see that the market is stable in terms of the number of units sold, but a significant trend continues in the growth of sales of large-diagonal screens — up to +118% year on year. According to our estimates, on average Russians buy a new TV model once every 5 years, but now they are increasingly giving preference to small TVs and increasingly choosing models with large screens.
