He's hoping for a class action lawsuit
A man decided to sue Apple for its message storage policy: he was chatting and deleted messages in iMessages on his iPhone, but they remained on his home iMac.
Richard (last name not specified) led a secret life behind his wife’s back. And although he deleted messages from his iPhone, he didn't think about the fact that the Apple ecosystem would automatically sync his message history to the family iMac. He used the same account on his smartphone and Mac.
When his wife opened iMessage on her iMac, she saw messages he had been sending to other women over several years. The man reportedly lost more than $6 million in the divorce.
For one reason that is clear to him, he is trying to collect money from Apple. In addition, the man also hopes that other people in similar situations will join him in filing a class action lawsuit against Apple
He believes that Apple did not make it clear to customers that even if messages were deleted on the iPhone, they could still be read on other Apple devices under the same account.
