AvtoVAZ's Renault Sandero assembly was captured on the roads. Such cars were supposed to enter the market in the summer of 2022

The project was canceled, but the cars remained

High-quality photos of the Renault Sandero assembled by AvtoVAZ have appeared on the Internet.

Motor resource, with reference to Platesmania, published photographs of the popular hatchback with Lada factory numbers. But these are not the cars that AvtoVAZ is going to produce in the near future. This is a canceled project.  

Such Togliatti-assembled cars were supposed to be released in the summer of 2022, but, of course, these plans were cancelled. The captured prototypes remained, and AvtoVAZ continues to test them for its tasks. 

Presumably, the Sandero Stepway was supposed to retain the combination of the naturally-aspirated H4M engine and the Jatco variator, known from other cars on the Russian market. In addition, the pictures show a fairly rich package with roof rails, fog lights and alloy wheels.
