Last month Lada Vesta NG showed explosive sales
AvtoVAZ stated that the demand for the new modification of the Lada Vesta NG with a CVT is quite noticeable, however, since the model was released quite recently, data on its sales are not provided. Earlier it became known that in March a total of 11.7 thousand Lada Vesta NG were sold.
This year AvtoVAZ plans to sell 40–50 thousand of these cars, or about 50% of all Vestas produced. According to the head of the department for development of products and services of the Group of Companies «Alfa-Leasing» Maxim Davidenko, Lada Vesta with a CVT and a 1.8-liter engine competes with the new Solaris, and the release of this model will definitely boost AvtoVAZ sales.
«Despite the fact that the Lada Vesta with a CVT is one of the most budget sedans with „automatic“ on the Russian market (from 1.59 million rubles) and has attracted the interest of taxi companies and car sharing companies, individuals are in no hurry to purchase an updated version of the car. The engine and new automatic transmission of the Lada Vesta are causing concern, although the test models have covered over 150 thousand km, despite the fact that the manufacturer announced the service life of the engine and variator is 120 thousand km. Nevertheless, the appearance of the Lada model in the segment of budget cars with automatic transmission will expand the offer and strengthen the brand’s position in the market, says Maxim Davidenko.
