Institute of Aviation Instrumentation «Navigator» (JSC «Navigator») received a certificate of fitness for the new aircraft addressable ATC transponder SO-2020. This means that the equipment can be installed on any civil aircraft and helicopters.
The SO-2020 transponder is designed to operate as on-board equipment in domestic and international secondary radar systems (SSR), as well as in the ADS-B system in accordance with ICAO standards. It provides standard (ELS) and enhanced (EHS) surveillance in «S» according to EASA requirements.
The new radar transponder can be used both to modernize existing Russian equipment and to replace similar foreign transponders. One of the advantages of the product is the design that does not require additional airflow and shock absorbers.
