The court returned the claim back Silver Basis
The Moscow Arbitration Court returned the company «Silver Basis (NK) Investment Development Company Limited» (Silver Basis, Hong Kong) application for bankruptcy of JSC «Moscow Automobile Plant «Moskvich».
The Hong Kong supplier Renault referred to the decision of the capital's arbitration court dated November 23, 2023, upheld by the decision of the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal on the recovery from the Moskvich plant. in favor of a company from Hong Kong 2.4 million euros of debt and more than 123 thousand euros of penalties.
However, by a ruling of the Moscow District Arbitration Court dated April 26, the execution of the decision in the case of debt collection from a Russian enterprise was suspended. Therefore, the court stated that it had no grounds to accept the Hong Kong company’s claim regarding the insolvency of the Moskvich plant.
Earlier, the plant’s press service confirmed that «Moskvich» has a stable financial position, there are no grounds for its bankruptcy: "Plant "Moskvich" fulfills all requirements to its partners and all obligations under the law. The Hong Kong company's claims directly against Moskvich, including an attempt to declare bankruptcy of the car plant, are a manipulation of public opinion and have no justification.
In addition, the plant stated that the allegations that «Moskvich». allegedly evades debt repayment, «aimed at undermining the business reputation of the plant, rather than addressing all controversial issues through constructive dialogue in the legal field».
