The record is $190,000

A sealed original iPhone with 4GB of flash memory, first put up for auction in 2024, sold for more than $130,000.

After an opening bid of just $17,000 two days ago, the final price for this sealed original iPhone soared into six figures at $130,027.

The smartphone failed to break the absolute record: last year, three iPhones in this configuration were sold at prices ranging from $133,000 to $190,000.

Recall that Apple released the first iPhone in 2007, and the 4 GB version was quickly discontinued because the 8 GB version was very popular. It was previously reported that the 4GB version of the original iPhone is more than 20 times rarer than the 8GB version, making it more valuable.
