This is a joint project between Suzuki and SkyDrive
Suzuki announced the start of production of «flying cars» together with SkyDrive. We are talking about the release of SkyDrive SD-05 models, an agreement on this was signed back in October last year. Production started in Japan in the city of Iwata (Shizuoka Prefecture).
SkyDrive SD-05 — This is a compact electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, it is designed for two passengers and a pilot, the maximum cruising speed is 100 km/h, and the flight range on a single charge — approximately 10 km.
The SkyDrive SD-05 is expected to be used as an air taxi at next year's Expo 2025 in Osaka. Then such «flying cars» Private clients will also be able to purchase. Suzuki and Skydrive are planning to produce about 100 of these aircraft per year.
