But the Belarusian Emgrand will still be cheaper than the Russian one
According to official data, the restyled Geely Emgrand sedan will enter the Belarusian market in the first quarter of this year. When exactly will the premiere take place – unknown, but a price list has already appeared in the local media.
The current Emgrand has been on sale in Belarus for a year now. It is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 104 hp. and a variator. There are two trim levels: Standard for 49.2 thousand Belarusian rubles and Flagship for 56.9 thousand Belarusian rubles (1.375 million and 1.59 million Russian rubles, respectively).
The new car will receive a more powerful engine of the same volume (either 122 hp as in Russia, or 126 hp as in China) and an automatic transmission. And there will already be three configurations: Standard Plus for 57.6 thousand Belarusian rubles, Comfort Plus for 62.4 thousand Belarusian rubles and Flagship Plus for 67.8 thousand Belarusian rubles. Prices in Russian rubles are, respectively: 1.61, 1.744 and 1.895 million rubles. Thus, the restyled Emgrand with automatic transmission will become noticeably more expensive in Belarus, but will still be cheaper than in Russia.
It’s difficult to say how the car’s equipment will change, but judging by the names, more options will be added at all levels.
«We have restyled this model, switched it from a CVT to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and we plan to bring it to the market in the first quarter. The car is significantly different from the one that was sold last year. Based on those consumer qualities, a new price will be formed. I think it’s no secret to anyone that it is formed not only due to the cost that we can provide, but due to the cost that is on the market», &mdash ; The head of the «BelGee» plant spoke about the updated Emgrand. Gennady Svidersky.
Recall that this week the restyled Geely Emgrand was declassified in China.
