There is no place for “Tanks” at the Tula Haval plant
The head of the Russian office of the Tank brand, Alexander Chekhovsky, said that there are no plans to localize the Tank 300 and Tank 500 models in Russia, although Great Wall Motor has a plant in the Tula region.
“ So far there are no plans to produce Tank cars at the plant. The decision depends on the prospects for the economic feasibility of this step ,” said Alexander Chekhovsky.
The Haval plant produces four models – the Haval F7, Haval F7x and Haval Jolion crossovers, as well as the Haval H9 frame SUV. The Tank 300 and Tank 500 are also framed, so in theory (and if desired) they could be produced in Russia, but there are no such plans in the near future. But plans for 2024 include the launch of a completely new Haval F7, which is known in China as Monster.
Earlier, Alexander Chekhovsky spoke about plans to expand the Tank model range in Russia through hybrid models.
