Risks in two directions at once – access to a crypto-wallet and hijacking a Telegram account
Experts from F.A.C.C.T. (formerly Group-IB in Russia), a Russian developer of technologies to combat cybercrime, discovered a massive campaign targeting Telegram users. We are talking about a campaign aimed at the super popular crypto game Hamster Kombat, now «hamster tape» more than 150 million people around the world.
About 200 resources use the popularity of the Hamster Kombat Telegram application to gain access to victims’ crypto wallets using drainers, programs created to quickly withdraw assets from victims’ crypto wallets to the wallets of attackers.
