One step forward, two steps back? Crosspieces were returned to the Lada Niva Legend transmission instead of CV joints

According to Quto.ru, AvtoVAZ has changed the design of the Lada Niva Legend transmission: constant velocity joints have again been replaced with crosspieces.

Recall that earlier the replacement of crosspieces with CV joints was presented as a technical revolution: less vibration, less noise, more advanced design. But, apparently, the implementation failed: CV joints turned out to be expensive (relatively) and not particularly reliable. In addition, the knot is delicate if you operate the car off-road. As a result, the car was again fitted with an archaic, but more reliable solution in the form of cardan joints: the crosspieces returned to the drive shafts, which «exit» from the transfer case.
