remains the most affordable
The average price for a new Chinese car in Russia increased by 9.3% and amounted to 3.06 million rubles in the first quarter of 2024, as reported by TASS with reference to a study by Avito Auto ;.
The maximum price increase among Chinese brands was recorded by GAC, whose cars rose in price to 4.3 million rubles (+53%), while Hongqi cars fell in price by 54.5% over the above period.
The average price for new Chery cars has increased by 13.3% over the past year and is now about 3.2 million rubles. Geely cars cost an average of 3.5 million rubles, which is 20.4% more than a year earlier. Haval remains the most affordable of the big three with a price of 2.6 million rubles.
In the first quarter of 2024 at «Avito Auto» 266.6% more new Chinese cars were presented than a year earlier. The leaders are Chery (+18.5%), Geely (+15.5%) and Haval (+15.1%).
