The car runs on electric power
A new version of the JAC T9 Hunter pickup truck has been spotted in preparation for the launch of the Beijing Auto Show. It will be one of the first all-electric pickup trucks with two motors and all-wheel drive.
JAC T9 — This is a mid-size pickup truck that has been in production since 2020 and was restyled last year. It has also been well known since last year that JAC is developing an electric version. The production version differs significantly from the prototype.
The large radiator grille of the internal combustion engine version is now covered by a flat panel with the JAC logo. The 18-inch wheels are designed to reduce air drag and increase range. ICE versions had a roll cage and side rails on the body. The electric car doesn't have them: only the roof rails remain.
The JAC T9 Hunter EV is 5620mm long, 1965mm wide, 1920mm high and comes with a 1810mm long cargo bed. Power comes from a 70kW peak motor with 176Nm of torque at the front axle and a more powerful 160kW motor at the rear axle that can produce 342Nm of torque. The 88.02 kWh battery allows the pickup truck to travel up to 500 km.
The car is equipped with Zhiling 3.0 interface, voice control, navigation system, wireless mobile phone charging, 220V socket and electrically adjustable seats.
