It is not necessary to be an MTS subscriber
The Russian operator MTS announced the launch of the contactless payment service MTS Pay for owners of smartphones on the Android operating system. The service works with bank cards of the «Mir» payment system.
The service allows you to add up to 10 bank cards to the MTS Pay application and pay in «one touch» the card that is convenient for you, and it is not necessary to be an MTS subscriber.
To use the service, you will need to download the MTS Pay application on Google Play or AppBazar, enter your mobile phone number for authorization and add bank card details to the application. A list of available banks will be displayed in the application.
MTS Pay allows you to pay for purchases with your smartphone in «one touch» wherever they accept cards from the «Mir» payment system and set up contactless payment, as well as withdraw cash from ATMs. When paying from a card using the MTS Pay service, the user retains the available cashback.
For iOS users, the MTS Pay service is available from February 2023 along with the Pay Tag payment sticker.
