And 110 million citizens of the country have a profile on State Services
Head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev said that to date, about 18 million Russians have connected their biometric profiles. Such data is indicated in the minister’s presentation, which he presented during his speech at the Digital Astana 2024 forum. Shadayev also noted that the biometric profile can be considered comprehensively with other elements of digital identification.
So, 110 million citizens of the Russian Federation already have a digital ID (profile on «State Services»), and 10 million Russians have connected an electronic signature. In addition, 19 million Russian citizens have digital copies of personal documents instead of paper ones — they can be shown via smartphone. All this allows us to build a citizen verification system, which in the future can replace the traditional identification system, not only in digital, but also in offline interaction, as Shadayev noted.
