The “robot” is built on the basis of a ZF 9S1310TO
manual transmission
«CF-Kama» (previously it was a joint venture between ZF Friedrichshafen AG and KamAZ, and now the structure is completely owned by KamAZ) assembled the first prototype of its own automated gearbox. The unit was named A1310, it is built on the basis of a ZF 9S1310TO manual gearbox.
«The gearbox was assembled on the factory assembly line. Now it is being finalized at the repair site, comments on the design and technological process are being eliminated», — KamAZ reported.
Robotic gearbox — actuators and control electronics were added to the 9-speed manual transmission. Moreover, these components, as well as the software, are produced by a Russian company. Test «automatic» will be on different KamAZ models: large-capacity off-road truck KamAZ-43118, dump truck KamAZ-65115, tractors KamAZ-65116 and KamAZ-65117, fire truck KamAZ-63934 generation K5.
