Journalist Jez Corden from WindowsCentral reported that Microsoft has approved the new Ninja Theory game. Hellblade 2 developers will soon be able to start working on the next project.
“Some people on social media took the news negatively, remembering the recent closure of Microsoft studios like Tango Gameworks, and some suggested that Ninja Theory, as a “smaller” team in Microsoft's pantheon could become a cost-cutting target for the company. But we can confirm through our trusted sources that in addition to Project Mara, another Ninja Theory game has already been approved. There are no plans to close the studio in the near future.”
“Ninja Theory released a message to fans ahead of the release of Hellblade 2 And no, this is not a “farewell” message, as some people think. According to sources familiar with the matter, their next game has already been given the green light.”
Furthermore, Septic_Sauce, creator of Game on Daily, believes that Ninja Theory's new game will be Hellblade 3. Microsoft representatives have already negotiated with Ninja Theory.
“As I said on my show and on Discord, Hellblade 3 has already been greenlit. Xbox already assured Ninja Theory of this after the Tango fiasco. Let's see if they keep their word. But I’m not worried.”
