Media: Beacon Interactive immediately buys out the creators of Metro and Zen studio from Embracer

by alex

Earlier it became known that the Embracer Group holding is selling part of Saber Interactive for $247 million

According to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, earlier statements about the sale of part of Saber Interactive in the form of 4A Games and Zen Studios to Beacon Interactive over a certain period of time were “misleading”.

Beacon Interactive immediately takes 4A Games and Zen Studios under the wing, along with Aspyr, Beamdog, Demiurge, Shiver, Snapshot, Tripwire, Tuxedo Labs and 34 Big Things. The total amount of the deal is thus not $247 million, but $500 million with all obligations.

Schreyer refers to a letter from Beacon Interactive head Matthew Karch, in which he indicates 4A Games and Zen Studios is on the list of assets to be acquired.
