The thesis that Vesta is much cheaper than the “Chinese” is losing relevance
AvtoVAZ’s flagship Lada Vesta NG was supposed to be the car that would act as a real alternative to the “Chinese”: no worse equipped, but much more affordable. In reality, it turned out not quite right: Vesta NG suffers from a lot of shortcomings, and meanwhile the price has already exceeded 2 million rubles. But, interestingly, dealers sell used cars even more expensive than new ones!
An example was recorded at «Boravto» – official dealer of AvtoVAZ. The 2022 Lada Vesta SW Cross station wagon is on display in the showroom for 2.425 million rubles! And this is not a new car, but with a mileage of 8 thousand km. The car is well equipped and has a CVT, but the price is still impressive – almost 400 thousand more expensive than the current flagship Vesta SW NG Cross Techno with a 106-horsepower engine, but, however, a manual transmission.
For comparison, a completely new and larger Geely Emgrand in maximum equipment with a much more powerful 122-horsepower engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. costs 2.28 million rubles.
