An ideological confrontation has unfolded on the fields of Roblox. Players were not happy with the new approach to remuneration
The platform game Roblox sometimes becomes a field for serious scandals. This time the community of connoisseurs of the Bloxburg project is burning.
Bloxburg (Bloxburg) is something like a life simulator, the project description is as follows: “Design and build your dream place where you can customize every detail with furniture, appliances and decorations that reflect your unique style…. Meet and make new friends, play role-playing games, create your family, customize your character and age, stay fit at the gym, ride your bike and enjoy cooking delicious meals or a quick dinner in town.
Chase an exciting career and earn in-game cash to upgrade your lifestyle. Whether you want to be a delivery guy, a pizza baker, a stylist, or any other profession available in the game, the choice is yours“.
Recently, an update was released for Bloxburg, which some consider “communist” – equal pay was added for all positions.
Players did not appreciate this and began to organize protests against communism, which was destroyed the economy of Bloxburg (as a result of the update, players’ incomes have dropped, and bills must be paid somehow – some even work overtime).
At the same time, “communism” now has defenders, who explain that Bloxburg fans are misunderstanding what's going on; express the opinion that:
“Under communism there is no money, if Bloxburg became communist, then why is there still money?
< p>Under communism there is free medicine, but in Bloxburg there is no.
Equal pay does not equal “Communism”. You are all confusing communism and other Marxist ideologies.
Like I said, there wouldn't be any money if it was communism, but let's talk about socialism then, since it is described as a transition to communism from capitalism, and many of you probably see them as the same thing.
Under socialism, the means of production belong to the workers, it is public property. This means that all profits go back to the workers. One real-life case where this happened was when a pizzeria decided to give their employees all the profits, that is, all the money after the costs of delivery, wages, inventory, etc. They expected to go home with $30/hour, but walked away with $78/hour instead. If this were a “communist/socialist renewal,” then your earnings would not decrease, but increase.”
