Peugeot 3008 – aka Peugeot 4008
Sources in the dealer community have named the cost of the Russian-assembled Peugeot 3008 crossover (probably in Russia this model will still be called the Peugeot 4008): the price of the basic version will be 4 million rubles. The Kaluga-assembled Citroen C5 Aircross has approximately the same price, and this is understandable, since the cars are built on the same platform and, apparently, will be equipped with the same units.
The confusing story with the name is explained by the fact that the European Peugeot 3008 moved to the Chinese assembly line as Peugeot 4008. Vehicle kits will be supplied to Kaluga from China, so it is unlikely that the car will be renamed back. Now dealers have Chinese Peugeot 4008, they are sold with a two-year warranty. As production of Peugeot 4008 in Russia increases, domestically assembled cars will replace Chinese ones in dealer showrooms.
