iPhone users advised to temporarily disable iMessage to avoid hacking

Apple hasn't released a fix yet

The developers of the Trust Wallet cryptocurrency wallet, owned by the Binance exchange, warned iOS users about a vulnerability in the iMessage security system that hackers could use to hack the iPhone.

As the developers reported, they have reliable information about the zero-day vulnerability; cybercriminals have discovered and are exploiting an unresolved iMessage vulnerability. Hacker sells exploit on darknet for $2 million.

It is noted that hackers can gain access to the iPhone without any action on the part of users (clicking on any link is not required on the part of the victim).

Trust Wallet advised users to disable iMessage until Apple releases a fix. Some experts, however, believe that there is no need to panic and give up on iMessage unless you consider yourself a high-risk user.
