Intel will sell the same processors for the third year in a row? Mobile Raptor Lake-H will be renamed Core 2xxH, and mobile Arrow Lake will be called Core Ultra 2xx

Current Raptor Lake-H is almost the same as the 13th generation Core

Intel Arrow Lake processors for the mobile segment will be called Core Ultra 2xx. This was reported by the famous insider Golden Pig Update.

Such assumptions have already been made earlier, since this is quite logical, because the current Meteor Lake belongs to the Core Ultra 1xx line. True, it will be interesting to see what the names of Lunar Lake will be, which will exist on the market in parallel with Arrow Lake, and in fact, it will be Lunar Lake that will replace Meteor Lake.

The source also says that the Raptor Lake-H line will be renamed Core 2xxH as part of the update. True, there is no clarity at all here, because the current 14th generation mobile Cores are called Raptor Lake Refresh, that is, they are actually the same 13th generation Cores (Raptor Lake), only slightly accelerated. And either Intel will simply rename the current 14th generation Cores to Core 2xxH, or will once again update the already updated line. In addition, it is unclear when the company will do this, given that mobile Arrow Lake is expected at the end of the year.

The Videocardz resource says that initially Intel will release mobile Arrow Lake only in low-end configurations, which will be similar to Meteor Lake. That is, there simply won’t be any truly high-performance CPUs there. And Core 2xxH will be needed precisely for this. But then it turns out that Intel will be selling virtually the same processors for the third year in a row.

The Golden Pig Upgrade Pack insider once shared performance leaks of Intel CPUs of different generations and published Intel slides describing the Meteor Lake CPU.
