Intel kicked off 2024 by releasing a modern processor with two large and four small cores. Core Ultra 5 115U is the slowest from Meteor Lake

iGPU was also cut back

Intel's product range has been quietly expanded with a new processor from the Core Ultra line. Core Ultra 5 115U became the youngest representative of Meteor Lake.

Core Ultra 5 115U differs from all other Meteor Lake-U in the number of cores. Let's remember that despite the fact that Intel initially introduced four such CPUs, from Core Ultra 5 125U to Core Ultra 7 165U, they all had the same configuration: 2 large cores, 8 small ones, 2 more small ones in the SoC and 4 Xe cores in the iGPU. The differences were only in frequencies. But the Core Ultra 5 115U has 2 large and 4 small cores (plus 2 small ones in the SoC), as well as 3 Xe cores in the iGPU.

That is, this model should be significantly less productive than all other 15-watt Core Ultras.
