Ryzen 5

are in the lead

Danawa Research analysts have published data on processor sales in the South Korean DIY market. AMD CPUs are in the lead there.

Koreans began to favor Ryzen processors more often late last year, and the situation has generally remained the same since then, although there were months where Intel had the upper hand. Now AMD's share is 55.1%.

What’s interesting is that South Koreans for the most part do not chase expensive CPUs. The best-selling processor right now is the Ryzen 5 5600 with a share of 11.8%. It is followed by the more recent, but still quite affordable Ryzen 5 7600 and 7500F. Intel's best performer was the Core i7-14700K with a share of 3.7%.

Of course, it is impossible to judge something only from the South Korean market, but such data specifically for the DIY segment as a whole is quite rare, so it is interesting to look at the state of affairs, albeit within one country.
