Naughty Dog has canceled the long-awaited online game based on The Last of Us franchise. It was assumed that this would not have happened without a battle pass
Insider Dusk Golem reacted to Naughty Dog's message about the cancellation of the online project for The Last of Us.
He showed a screenshot of “The Last of Us Factions” 2″: it turned out that the game could get a battle pass – an element of the monetization system that can be found in many modern games.
As Naughty Dog explained, the developers decided to concentrate on single-player games – working on a service game would require full focus on it.
