The price depends on the level of equipment
As Autonews reports, dealers have begun to massively offer Russians the Geely Preface sedan (aka Geely Xingrui), imported into the country through parallel imports. This model is very popular in China; in 2020, Preface was awarded the title of “Car of the Year” in China.
In Russia, an analogue of the Toyota Camry (Preface length is 4785 mm, wheelbase is 2800 mm) is offered with a 2.0-liter turbo engine producing 190 hp. and a 7-speed “robot”.
A large Moscow dealer valued the car at 3.9 million rubles. At the same time, the equipment includes a digital dashboard, a media system with a large screen, LED lighting, parking sensors front and rear, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and a panoramic roof.
In two other Moscow showrooms the car is cheaper – 3.5 million rubles. But the equipment is simpler: without a panoramic roof, with single-zone climate control and parking sensors only at the rear.
Next year, Geely Preface will officially come to Russia, but unofficial sales of the brand’s cars may be, if not curtailed, then very difficult.
