Delivery in China will start at the beginning of 2024
According to official information from the BMW Group, the new long-wheelbase version of the BMW 5 Series will soon roll off the production line at BMW's Shenyang production base, with nationwide deliveries to begin in early 2024.
Previously unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show, this new car uses BMW's latest design language and offers two appearance options: base and M sport package. As for the body dimensions, the length, width and height of the new generation 5 Series are 5175, 1900 and 1520 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase – 3105 mm.
The intelligent driving assistance system L2+, which is used in the new BMW 5 Series, has been updated taking into account the characteristics of the Chinese market, and has undergone more than 2000 localized debuggings.
As for the interior, the new BMW 5 Series center stack features a 12.3-inch LCD instrument display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen, as well as a Bowers surround sound system & Wilkins and a four-zone climate control system that can be controlled independently at the rear. For rear passengers there is a 31-inch screen with 8K resolution.
The new BMW 5 Series is expected to be equipped with a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine and a 48V mild hybrid system with a maximum power of 190 kW and a maximum torque of 400 Nm.
