The new approach will allow the production of 12 aircraft sets of Il-114-300 fuselage panels per year
The United Aircraft Corporation announced the creation of «Aviastar» in Ulyanovsk, a production line for the assembly of fuselage panels for the newest regional short-haul aircraft Il-114-300.
«As part of the technical re-equipment program, it is planned to install equipment for automatic riveting, as well as painting, sealing and drying chambers in the production line. This will ensure production of 12 aircraft sets of fuselage panels per year», — told to the UAC.
As Mikhail Singin, head of the fuselage panel assembly shop, explained, the new method «increases the involvement and responsibility of personnel for the results of work» .
Recall that at the end of last week the second prototype of the Il-114-300 (and the first assembled at the Lukhovitsky Aviation Plant) took to the skies for the first time as part of flight tests.
