Statistics on sales of new cars in Kazakhstan in January 2024 have appeared. Over the past year, 10 533 passenger cars were sold in the neighboring country – According to the Kazakhstan Automobile Union, the annual increase was 8.1%.
The absolute leader was Hyundai – the company sold 3,120 cars – 39.5% more compared to January 2023. Korean success is consolidated by sister company Kia, which managed to sell 1,231 cars. In total, the two Hyundai Motor brands have crushed almost half of the market!
But Chery took third place in the top 3 brands for the first time: the Chinese automaker managed to sell 1,081 cars in Kazakhstan last month – an increase of 73.8% in annual terms. The most popular Chery model in Kazakhstan has become the compact crossover Tiggo 2 – he took fourth place in the model rating. The top 3 included Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage and Chevrolet Cobalt.
