This is the same as the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 core, but with 30% less performance
It seems that the performance of the SoC Kirin 9010 will not please the background of modern competing solutions. The first tests indicate that Huawei was unable to make its CPU cores up-to-date.
The Kirin 9010's AndSPECmod numbers suggest that the SoC's large cores match the performance of the Cortex-A77 in the Snapdragon 870, while consuming 50% more power. As a result, power consumption corresponds to the Cortex-X2 core in Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, but with 30% lower performance.
Recall that the Snapdragon 870 was produced using the 7 nm process technology. Probably, the Kirin 9010, like the Kirin 9000s, is also produced according to 7 nm standards, but Huawei does not have access to modern chip production, and as a result, SMIC products are inferior to what TSMC once made. < /p>
