Galaxy AI was one of the main elements of the Unpacked presentation, where Samsung also presented the Galaxy S24 line of smartphones. The South Korean giant demonstrated many functions with artificial intelligence, including live translation of language and messages in instant messengers, turning regular video into slow motion, etc. They're free for now, but in two years you'll have to pay for access to Galaxy AI.
At the bottom of the Galaxy S24 Ultra page on the company’s official website there is a whole bunch of clarifications and various legal information, in particular that these functions will be free until the end of next year:
Galaxy AI features will be available free of charge until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices. Different terms may apply for AI features provided by third parties.
One way or another, Samsung has not yet announced prices for its artificial intelligence products, but those who purchased the company’s flagship smartphone should be prepared for the fact that before the new year 2026 they will have to make a choice – or refuse from AI functions, or pay a fee.
