Judging by the first reviews, Hades 2 is already polished to a shine, and you might think that a full release of version 1.0 is just around the corner. But the creative director of the game believes that we will have to wait about another year.
Creative director Grigory Kasavin said in an interview that there are many little things that need to be worked on. The most obvious is the need to change and balance combat. There will be a number of small patches in the near future that will polish up existing parts of the gameplay – similar to the recent changes to resource gathering and sprinting – and at least one major update that will introduce new elements, including enemies, environments and abilities. While this big update will be “several months” in the making, there will be a pause in minor fixes.
Kasavin expects Hades 2 to remain in Early Access “at least until the end of this year” . This is not surprising, given that the original was prepared for the release of a full version for about two years.
