As Quto.ru reports, a large batch of Ford Transit Custom vans from China will arrive in Russia, where these vehicles are assembled at a joint venture between Ford and JMC. It is interesting that the cars are built on the basis of the 2012 Ford Transit Custom, that is, the Chinese car, despite its rather modern appearance, is very different from the European Transit Custom.
By the way, just last year the Chinese Transit Custom underwent a major update, as part of which not only the exterior, but also the interior was corrected. As for technology, the car is equipped with 2.0-liter turbo engines: gasoline with a power of 202 hp. and diesel with a power of 121 hp. The second is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, but for the gasoline engine a 9-speed automatic is available.
According to Quto.ru, the cost of a basic Ford Transit Custom in Russia will be 3.5 million rubles. For comparison, the van «Sable NN» with a 150-horsepower 2.5-liter turbodiesel costs 3.17 million rubles.
