The exterior of the car will be made in the spirit of the new Dacia/Renault Duster and Dacia Bigster
The Carscoops resource has published details about the project of the future Dacia C-Neo 2026 car. This will be a cross-station wagon that will allow Dacia to fill the niche created by the massive conversion of cars from other manufacturers to electricity: unlike them, the C -Neo will use traditional powerplants. To some extent, Dacia C-Neo will be a response to the Skoda Octavia.
In terms of appearance, the Dacia C-Neo will be similar to the latest generation Dacia/Renault Duster, as well as the Dacia Bigster. Interestingly, in addition to the station wagon, there will also be a fastback, the back door of which will rise along with the glass. The length of the station wagon will be approximately 4600 mm, that is, it will be slightly longer than the current Dacia Jogger (4547 mm). Interior elements (instrument panel, switches, etc.) will be borrowed from Duster: such unification will save money on R&D.
However, there will be unification not only in terms of design, but also in engines. Thus, from the Duster Dacia C-Neo can get a 1.2-liter three-cylinder Renault petrol engine with turbocharging and a 48-volt hybrid add-on (this system produces 130 hp). As for a full-fledged hybrid (not plug-in), there is information about the development of a new system similar to the one installed on Jogger and Duster, but only it will include a 1.8-liter engine instead of a 1.6-liter one. Dacia C-Neo will be built on the CMF-B platform – its version is used in Lada Iskra.
There is no information about the price, but in the European market the Dacia C-Neo will compete with the VW Golf, Peugeot 308, Opel Astra and Toyota Corolla. The premiere of the new product will take place in 2026.
