Cities: Skylines 2 has some good news for modders

by alex

The developers of Colossal Order talked about the official mod editor for Cities: Skylines 2. The approximate release time for the full version of the tool is known, and players can register for early access.

Steam's official announcement states that the full version of the editor will be released “early next year.”

Creative players gained access to the editor on their own, but the developers warned that projects created before the official release of the tool most likely will not work properly after release. The ad states:

“We will release the editor early next year, but until then, don’t let anything stop you. Just remember that some things may need to be tweaked later.”

A major patch will be released in December to improve performance and fix bugs. The team will then take a three-week Christmas break.
