SSDs have become so hot that they now need to be cooled with water? Corsair MP700 Pro SE available in a version with a water block

There is also a version without cooler

Corsair has expanded its line of MP700 solid-state drives with the top-end model MP700 Pro SE.

The new product supports the PCIe 5.0 interface and offers speeds close to the maximum for such SSDs today. The speed reaches 14 GB/s, and recordings — 12 GB/s. The manufacturer does not indicate either the controller or details about the memory. The site mentions 3D TLC memory and that's all.

But we can highlight the presence of three versions of the new SSD. The base one doesn't offer any cooling at all, and that's a bad thing. Tests of the regular MP700 model have shown that if there is at least no airflow, the drive overheats in just a minute or two. This version is suitable for those who want to install the cooler themselves.

The older version is equipped with a massive cooler, and the top version is the most unusual, as it has its own small water block. Such options are still extremely rare.

The new product is available in 2 or 4 TB versions. The price of the first is about $340, and the second — about 630 dollars.
