No Man's Sky version 1.0 caused a huge wave of outrage, but Hello Games managed to make a triumphant comeback

No Man's Sky initially received devastating reviews. The flashy advertising campaign didn't really match what the players ended up getting.

However, Hello Games studio was able to correct the situation and today No Man's Sky has mostly positive reviews on Steam (78% rating).

Hello Games boss Sean Murray noted an increase in Steam ratings by 1% and expressed hope that in the foreseeable future it will be possible to rise a couple more points :

“Guys, we just reached the 78% positive feedback mark in “All Reviews”.

In 2021 we reached the Mostly Positive mark [In mostly positive] (70%), which took 5 years.

From a mathematical point of view, each [subsequent] percentage point is much more difficult to score than the previous one – I never didn't think it was possible, but guys, maybe one day we'll reach “Very Positive” (80%).”
