Boeing needs a year to fix problems with 737 MAX engines

Boeing will need about a year to fix engine problems on all 737 MAX aircraft, CBS News reported, citing a written response to a request from Senator Tammy Duckworth.

«Boeing told lawmakers that the planned fix to an engine problem on all 737 MAX aircraft will take about a year, delaying the certification of the 737 MAX 7 and MAX 10 airliners&mdash ; stated in CBS News.

The company has already assembled a team of technical experts to «quickly find a safe and compliant solution» problem that could cause the 737 MAX engine anti-ice system to overheat and cause engine damage.

Earlier, on March 13, it became known that the Boeing 737 plane of Polish President Andrzej Duda broke down during a visit to the United States. On March 8, a Boeing 777, while taking off from San Francisco to Japan, lost a tire that fell into the parking lot and damaged several cars.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) inspected Boeing after a door panel came off an Alaska Airlines plane. As it became known, the company failed 33 out of 89 tests.
