Telegram is the fastest growing Internet service in the Beeline network
The VimpelCom operator (Beeline trademark) expanded the capacity of direct connections with Telegram by another 500 Gbit/s – up to 1.4 Tbit/s, which made the load on the network more uniform. The press service of the operator spoke about this.
According to the operator business unit, Telegram is still the fastest growing Internet service in the Beeline network and ranks third in terms of traffic volume among subscribers. In the 3rd quarter of 2023, Telegram traffic increased by 50% compared to the same period in 2022, further increasing the gap from its main competitor-messenger – Telegram traffic is now 75% higher than WhatsApp traffic. Telegram traffic growth is higher than the overall growth of Internet traffic and other popular services. For comparison, YouTube traffic grew by 15% during this time.
