At the Baikonur Cosmodrome, preparations continue for the cargo ship «Progress MS-26» and the manned spacecraft «Soyuz MS-25» for launch to the International Space Station (ISS). The ships, which had been in storage since December 2023, were reactivated, Roscosmos specialists carried out an external inspection of them and checked the initial condition of the onboard systems.
The preparation of the tanks of the Progress MS-26 ship has already begun. for refilling with drinking water. In the near future, test switching on of service equipment and comprehensive electrical tests of the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft are planned.
Launch of the launch vehicle «Soyuz-2.1a» with the ship «Progress MS-26» is scheduled for February 15, 2024, and the launch of the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft scheduled for March 2024. The main crew of the manned spacecraft includes Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, cosmonaut from the Republic of Belarus Marina Vasilevskaya and NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson.
