The new ROG Ally X will most likely retain the current design and ergonomics, but will receive a number of technical improvements. The console will receive an improved SD card slot, a larger storage capacity, RAM and a more powerful battery. The game control system will also undergo changes.
The new version is equipped with a more capacious battery that will provide up to 40% more operating time in games. The AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor with 8 cores and 16 threads running at up to 5.1 GHz, combined with 12 RDNA 3 Compute Units and 24 MB cache, ensures smoother gameplay even in the most demanding games.
The Model X also supports LPDDR5X-7500 memory and up to 8TB of NVMe M.2 SSDs, which will be a significant improvement over its predecessor. Improved cooling design ensures higher CPU performance and stability.
ASUS ROG Ally X will retain its compact dimensions and 7-inch FHD screen with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. Additionally, the SD card issue that existed in the previous model has been resolved by repositioning the SD card, eliminating the risk of overheating.
The new model will be available in black color and the price will be just over $699. Asus is expected to share more information and showcase the device at a special event on June 2.
