Studio Team Asobi said that Astro Bot will be the biggest game in its history, including, among other things, about 150 iconic characters from the PlayStation universe and beyond.
The Japanese development studio said that the new installment in the series will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation and will feature more than 80 levels, and the gaming experience will be “refreshed every 10 minutes or so.”
Team Asobi director Nicolas Doucet said in an interview that gamers will get a great game that includes a wide range of entertainment, representing a “big” and complete story of the famous PlayStation mascot.
It is worth noting that the new chapter of the series will be released on September 6, 2024 exclusively on PlayStation 5, acting as a kind of sequel to the project released for free at the launch of PS5.
The director said that Astro Bot will be a true premium game (price still unknown), including a large amount of content, as well as a kind of game that pays tribute to the entire history of PlayStation with more than 150 of the platform's most iconic characters.
