No more “extras” for 1 million rubles
Last year, the second-generation GAC GS8 large crossover entered the Russian market, and it immediately became popular. Dealers took advantage of this and jacked up prices: fees for «extras» for this car came up to 1 million rubles, and without them it was impossible to buy a car. Now the situation, according to representatives of the dealers themselves, has returned to normal: the car is sold at the recommended retail price.
«We did sell the GS8 at inflated prices, but solely out of necessity – there weren't enough cars», — said a representative of the Tyumen company. He added that now the car can be purchased at the prices indicated on the website.
«We never really increased the «extras», this is not our story. But I know that there were such examples on the market», — reported an employee of the Moscow salon of a large dealer «Avilon».
What are the current prices? The most affordable copies of the GAC GS8 at dealers — more expensive than 4 million rubles, but are sold for 3.7-3.8 million rubles: this is the size of the discount for credit and trade-in. At the same time, sellers note that most cars are sold using borrowed funds: for «real money» cars are bought very rarely.
