Intel should release new Arrow Lake processors this year, including in the desktop segment. And today one such CPU appeared on the Internet, clearly from the flagship cohort. 

The model does not have a name yet, but it does have parameters. The CPU has 8 large cores, 16 small ones and one more core, probably also small and located in the SoC chiplet, like Meteor Lake (only there are two of them).

The configuration will also include 8 AI cores and an iGPU GT1, obviously with a small number of computing units. Such a CPU will operate at a frequency of 3.5 GHz and a TDP of 125 W.

In general, without details, this is exactly the same as what Intel offers as part of the Raptor Lake and RL Refresh line. But Arrow Lake-S will be new in everything compared to Raptor Lake. They will switch to new architectures for large (Lion Cove) and small cores (Skymont), receive a new iGPU and will be produced using a new process technology (Intel 20A). In addition, the volume of third-level cache memory per core for the new CPUs will increase by one and a half times (up to 3 MB).

True, if it was previously believed that all these would be completely new architectures, Intel recently announced that in fact even Arrow Lake architectures will be only slightly improved architectures from Raptor Lake, so the increase in IPC will only be about 5 %.
