Cars have caught up with top smartphones in terms of RAM capacity
AnTuTu developers have published a new performance rating of SoCs used in infotainment systems of modern cars. And there are a lot of interesting things in it.
The first place for the newest Snapdragon 8295 was quite expected, but the interesting thing is that the media system based on it already has as much as 18 GB of RAM! We can say that cars have caught up with top-end smartphones in terms of RAM capacity.
But the most popular single-chip system in the segment – Snapdragon 8155 – is already inferior in performance not only to the latest SoC from Qualcomm itself, but also to the proprietary Chinese SoC Dragon Eagle No. 1 (it is used in some Geely Group cars). And Rockchip RK3588s came in third place.
