FSR3 (AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3) upscaling technology became open source last week, allowing gamers, modders and game developers to begin implementing FSR into software. Gamers can already use the first modifications with FSR3 support in games such as The Last Of Us Part 1 or even Cyberpunk 2077.
Modders have taken upon themselves the task of replacing NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation (DLSSG) with an analogue of AMD FSR3 Frame Generation in any game. However, this is not a perfect solution as performance may not be optimal and gamers should expect visual artifacts, glitches, and an overall worse experience than the native implementation. In addition, some modifications that should work in “all” games will have problems with many of them, Videocardz reports.
Users are reporting that the mod tool works for many games such as Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3, but may have problems with Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Dying Light 2 or Hitman 3.< /p>
